How We Use AI at Members Village
AI can confidently tell you something completely wrong, draw a person with seven fingers, or turn a simple sentence into something that sounds like it was written by a committee of robots.
Never mind the polarizing media coverage. AI can be useful, so we use it accordingly.
At Members Village, AI is an assistant. It helps our team work through certain tasks faster, but the work, decisions and responsibility remain with humans.
If you arrived here by clicking “beep bop boop · AI assisted”, that means AI helped us with some part of the content you were looking at.
Here's what that actually means.

Where we use AI
Writing & communication
We may use AI to help with writing, editing and communications.
That can include things like checking spelling, refining tone, translating content or helping us work through different ways of saying something.
The important distinction is that AI assists with the work. It is not the author sitting behind Members Village.
A person reviews the result before it is published.
Summarizing public content
Members Village helps associations and nonprofits get more exposure for the work they do.
Sometimes that means taking publicly available material from an organization’s website and turning several pages of information into a shorter summary for the Members Village website.
AI can help us with that first pass.
We then review and adjust the content to make sure the finished summary accurately represents the source material and does what we intended it to do.
We only use public communications material for this purpose. Private member or client information is not involved.
Reviewing source code
AI can also be a useful second set of eyes when working with software.
Our developers may use it to analyze small snippets of source code while investigating a bug , looking for a performance issue or considering a better way to approach a technical problem while working on association solutions.
We do not hand over private details, credentials or production information.
More importantly, AI does not get to change Members Village on its own.
Any suggestion it makes is assessed by a developer, modified when necessary and tested against the intended result before anything is published.
AI can point at the wrench. A human still decides how to use it.
Images & Visual Aides
We may use AI when working with images.
That could mean making a small adjustment, filling in a missing part of an existing image, or generating an image, for a newsletter or article, when the thing we need simply does not exist.
What we don't give AI
Our use of AI does not involve private member or client data.
We do not send personal member information, private client information or other confidential details into AI systems as part of the uses described on this page. No association database or CRM data is ever shared.
When AI is used for content, it works with public communications material.
When it is used to help analyze code, only the relevant snippets are provided without private details.
AI doesn't run the Village
We do not use AI to make operational decisions.
It does not decide what happens to a member, what happens to a client, or makes changes to the Members Village platform.
Our current use of AI is limited to assisting with:
writing and communications;
summaries of public content;
source-code review and analysis; and
image creation and manipulation.
A human remains responsible for the finished work.
So, what's with “beep bop boop”?
We would rather tell you when AI helped than pretend it didn't.
When you see:
beep bop boop · AI assisted
it means AI was used somewhere in the process of creating or modifying that content.
It does not mean we handed a prompt to a robot and published whatever came back.
It means AI helped, a human remained involved, and the finished result is something we chose to publish.
Beep bop boop, indeed.
