Intellectual Property Institute of Canada

The Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) is the national professional association for Canadian intellectual property (IP) practitioners, including patent agents, trademark agents, lawyers, academics, and students. Its mission is to enhance its members’ expertise as trusted IP advisors and to help shape a favourable policy and business environment for intellectual property in Canada. IPIC positions itself as the voice of the Canadian IP profession and aspires to be the country’s leading authority on IP matters. It provides members with educational programs, events, resources, networking opportunities, and professional development, as well as advocating on public policy and regulatory issues affecting intellectual property. The organization also emphasizes equity, diversity, and inclusion within the IP sector, and supports scholarship and outreach through its affiliated educational foundation.
