Government Relations Institute of Canada

The Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC / IRGC) is a national, non-profit professional association representing government relations and public affairs practitioners across all sectors in Canada. Since its founding in 1994, GRIC has positioned itself as the recognized voice of the profession, working to enhance the role of government relations in the democratic process. It monitors and engages on policies and regulatory frameworks affecting lobbying and public affairs, provides updates and factual verification for its members, and upholds a Code of Professional Conduct to maintain high ethical standards. GRIC’s membership includes individuals from corporations, trade associations, NGOs, universities, consulting and legal firms, and government agencies at municipal, provincial, territorial, and federal levels. Through professional development, networking events, publications, and advocacy, the Institute aims to ensure that government relations is practiced ethically, transparently, and with legitimacy in Canada’s public life.
