Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters

The Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME / MEC) is a national, member-driven association representing Canadian manufacturers of all sizes and industries. Its mission is to equip members to compete both domestically and globally, and to ensure that manufacturing is recognized by policymakers and the public as a vital, innovative part of Canada’s economy. CME delivers value through a menu of programs and services tailored to address top industry challenges—such as lean and productivity improvement, trade and export support, energy and environmental strategy, leadership development, and workplace safety. As an advocate, CME engages actively with all levels of government to influence policy, regulation, and investment decisions in favour of the manufacturing sector. Through facilitating knowledge sharing, networking, and peer learning, the association fosters connections among its members, helping them build capacity and adapt in a changing global environment. Its vision positions Canada as a global leader in advanced manufacturing and exporting, underpinned by innovation, competitiveness, and growth.
