Canadian Committee on Labour History

The Canadian Committee on Labour History (CCLH) is an open, non-profit organization dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of working-class and labour history in Canada. It welcomes individuals from any discipline who share an interest in labour, class, community, culture, ethnicity, politics, family, gender, migration, ideology, and related subjects. The CCLH supports a diversity of theoretical and methodological approaches, encourages public engagement, and works to integrate labour history into school curricula, public history institutions, and community organizations. It publishes the journal Labour/Le Travail, sponsors books and other publications, administers awards and small grants to foster projects in labour history, and serves as a forum for discussion, conferences, and exchange on issues affecting Canadian working-class histories and heritage.
