Canadian Additive Network

Canada Makes is a Canadian network devoted to advancing the adoption and development of advanced and additive manufacturing (AM) in Canada. Its mission is to build connections — locally, nationally, and internationally — among businesses, researchers, technology providers, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration, innovation, and awareness in additive manufacturing. To achieve this, Canada Makes engages in activities such as establishing collaboration agreements, offering technology demonstration sessions and training workshops, participating in trade shows, maintaining knowledge networks, and advising on funding opportunities for additive manufacturing projects. It originated from the efforts of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME), which helped establish and support the network’s early development, and continues to partner in enabling manufacturers to learn about and leverage the possibilities of AM.
