Helping arborists grow online. We say 'hi' to ISA Ontario.
Arboriculture is practical work. It happens in trees, on job sites, in communities and wherever people are making decisions about the health and future of the urban forest.
Behind that work is a profession that depends on something less visible: education, trusted information, strong connections and opportunities to keep growing.
That is where ISA Ontario comes in. As the Ontario Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, ISA Ontario supports the province’s arboriculture community through education, research and awareness. The not-for-profit organization serves more than 1,000 members and connects Ontario professionals to a much larger international community.
And we’re pleased to welcome ISA Ontario to Members Village.
Simpler membership Management
As an association grows, so does the information moving through it.
Memberships, renewals, events, job opportunities, professional profiles and connections with ISA International all create useful data. The opportunity is to make that information easier to manage, and more useful once it has been collected.
Behind the scenes, Members Village will help bring ISA Ontario’s membership information and member-facing tools into an all-in-one association management software which features Canadian data residency out-of-the-box.
A key part of the project will be simplifying membership management, including a new tool for synchronizing relevant membership data between ISA Ontario and ISA International.
That connection matters. Less friction around data means more time to understand what members need, where engagement is happening and where new opportunities may exist.
Better-connected information can help ISA Ontario see patterns across membership, events and participation, supporting more informed decisions about programs, communications and future priorities.
Creating opportunity for members
The project will also focus on helping ISA Ontario generate more non-dues revenue while creating more exposure for its members. That combination is important.
A job board can connect employers with people who know the profession. A professional directory can make arborists and arboriculture businesses easier for the public to discover. Events can become easier to promote, register for and measure.
Technology does not need to pull arborists away from the work they do. It should help that work travel further.
We’re excited to be working with ISA Ontario on the next stage of its member platform, and to help build technology around the community it already serves.
Because arborists may spend their days in the trees, but the right technology can still help their careers, businesses and profession grow.
Association tools for the task
Combined with planned ISA International data synchronization ISA Ontario will get to benefit from these integrated association apps for data management and revenue generation.
Member Database
Membership management works best when members can participate in keeping their own information current. Members Village will provide ISA Ontario with a centralized membership database alongside a self-serve portal where members can manage routine account information, renewals, payments and history.
Event Management
Education and professional development are an important part of ISA Ontario membership. Its event management tools will connect registration, payments and participation information with the broader member database, making events easier to administer while giving ISA Ontario better insight into attendance and engagement.
Job Board
A career centre can be both a member service and a source of non-dues revenue. Employers will be able to manage job postings through a self-serve career centre, while ISA Ontario can create posting packages that support its own association revenue strategy.
Member Directory
Membership should help professional members get found. ISA Ontario’s directory will provide another way to showcase participating professionals and businesses, helping the public find arboriculture expertise while creating greater visibility and potential leads for members.
